The Evening, The Morning, and The Night

TW// Body Dysmorphia Mention, Body Mutilation and Dysmorphia Imagery (in process section)

The Evening, The Morning and The Night is a title sequence based on the short story by Octavia Butler. It focuses on people who have Duryea-Gode disease which causes the person to be obsessed with self-mutilation, dissociate, and have violent tendencies. The story acts as a metaphor for the oppression of minority groups, being trapped in your own skin and the need to break through something. I decided to focus on those main themes and I added grainy texture to enhance the mood and tone of the title sequences and reflect the darkness of the subject. It's unnerving and intriguing at the same time.
